New Mexico female boxing legend and newly-crowned MMA Legacy Fighting Bantamweight champion Holly Holm continues to add to her mystique as possibly the toughest female fighter in MMA. Her recent systematic demolition of rugged Brazilian Juliana Werner just became more of a badge of honor after it was recently revealed that Holm accomplished this with a broken left arm. The Holm’s camp released an X-ray of her left arm showing a "clean" break, which the fighter reports occurred in the first round.
This is a setback of sorts for the New Mexico native as she was in the process of trying to secure a high profile fight under the Ultimate Fighting Champion promotional banner, so the break will keep her out of the cage for a few months. Still, Holm is already a highly accomplished blood sport veteran as many consider her the greatest female boxer of all-time and her credentials in that sport certainly sustain the argument.
Once Holm heals, the whispers of her being a legitimate threat to UFC bantamweight champion and current MMA media darling, Ronda Rousey, are sure to grow into loud screams. Holm is no joke as she is highly skilled, extremely motivated and fearless in the ring. A fight with Rousey would be interesting to see.
