Benny Henderson Jr.
You are just days away from your match-up against Travis Walker, what are your thoughts?
Manuel Quezada
We are excited; I wish it was here so I can get it over with. Been at the gym in training, I am excited.
BH
We have talked about Walker ’s strengths before, which we all know is his size, and strength, but what about his weaknesses that you feel you can capitalize on?
MQ
He stands a little too straight; you can catch him with some over hands rights. But don’t get me wrong, like I said before he is a very strong guy. But, that is what I have seen in the past, so hopefully he has not worked on that. (Laughs)
BH
In your opinion, what impact would a win over Walker have on your career?
MQ
Oh man, it would put me on top of the list with all these other guys.
BH
I spoke with Travis Walker and he flat out told me that you have never fought the caliber of fighter that he is, and he does not see the fight going to the distance. What are your thoughts on his comment?
MQ
Well you know, I agree, I don’t see this fight going the distance. Either one of us can go down in a minute, but, I have been working hard so I don’t think it is going to be me going down. (Laughs)
BH
What do you feel that you bring to the heavyweight division?
MQ
I think I bring a calm demeanor to the division. I am not much of a talker; I like to get in the ring and fight. I talk with the fight.
BH
What can the fight fans expect from you come fight night?
MQ
An exciting fight, we are going to be in the ring exchanging. He is a big guy and I don’t plan on holding back. It is going to be an exciting fight for the fans.
BH
Is there anything you would like to say in closing of this interview?
MQ
I want to thank everybody that has been helping me, my sparring partners, my team, the Goossen’s and Mario my publicist. I just want to thank my family, pretty much everybody.
