Team Espino Training Camp Notes

miguel_espino_boxerIn preparation for his highly anticipated bout on December 19th against world middleweight champion Kelly "the Ghost" Pavlik (35-1, 31 KO's), North Hollywood native Miguel Espino (20-2-1, 9 KO's) has been training like never before in hopes of taking home both world title belts come fight night.  Training out of Fortune Gym in Hollywood with trainer John Bray, Espino is putting everything he has into this training camp, sparring with the likes of Russian super middleweight prospects Dmitry and Fedor Chudinov and Justin Fortune's middleweight prospect Tyrell Hendrix.

Espino is getting all he can handle while sparring with the two brothers and Hendrix.  Standing outside of the gym, you know there is intense sparring going on.  Trainer John Bray has had Espino on the grind everyday since the bout was announced not letting up on him one bit.  Bray wants Espino to understand that competing at this level takes even more hard-work and determination if he wants to be the new WBC and WBO world middleweight champion.

When Bray was asked how training was going, he expressed the following "we are working real hard and will be ready to go to war come December 19th."  After hitting the mitts with the Bray, Espino took some time to state that, "I feel good right now.  I think this is the best shape I've ever been in.  John and I are taking this fight seriously and he isn't letting up on me one bit.  I'll keep doing my thing for the next couple of weeks and come fight night, I hope to be the one with my arms raised and the two belts around me."

This world middleweight title bout is brought to you by Top Rank Promotions and tickets for the bout are priced at $250, $150, $100, $50 and can be purchased at the Beeghly Center box office or online at

The bout will also be part of a live Pay-Per-View doubleheader with Humberto Soto battling Jesus Chavez in Toluca, Mexico.   Contact your local cable or satellite provider to order.
