El Paso artist artist L.B. McKay is proud to present her latest art exhibition titled 'El Paso Piñata Extravagnzaha'. The opening celebration will be on Saturday April 28th at 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Exhibition is free to the public and will take place at Los Paisanos Gallery at Chamizal National Park 800 South San Marcial St. in El Paso, Texas.
The exhibition is a multimedia celebration of the Piñata. Most people think of piñatas as a fun activity for parties. However L.B. McKay will tell the long history of the piñata and reveal many interesting facts that go beyond the playing of a game through a series of her own custom paintings with a live art exhibition. The exhibition is sponsored by the El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department.
L.B. McKay is best known for her paintings which signify the grief and sorrow of the haunting unsolved murders of young women in Ciudad Juarez (The Murder Capital of the World).
