Austin Trout vs. Marco Antonio Avendano

austin_trout_marco_antonio_avendanoAustin “No Doubt” Trout will be facing his toughest opponent yet when he fights world ranked Marco Antonio Avendano in a 12 round fight in Torreon, Mexico on March 14, 2009.  This is the longest scheduled fight in Austin Trout’s career.  Marco Antonio Avendano is a world class fighter who has traveled the world to fight highly ranked fighters. Avendano is from Cumana, Venezuela and holds a professional light middleweight record of 27 wins, 19 by weigh of knock-out with 6 losses.

This is an important fight for Austin Trout for many reasons.  This is the biggest fight and toughest opponent for “No Doubt” Austin Trout with a perfect boxing record of 16-0.  Trout sadly had many fights fall through due to uncontrollable circumstances. This was very difficult for Trout to deal with. Yet Trout continues to stay dedicated and focused on his boxing career. Austin Trout’s last fight appeared this past summer of 2008 on ESPN2’s Wednesday night fights. Austin Trout’s junior middleweight division holds some of the most talented boxers including Sergio Martinez, Alfred Angulo, and James Kirkland.

Trout has been waiting for this fight for a long time and has been training diligently. Trout understands that his stamina could be tested like never before because he has never fought more than eight rounds. Trout plans to hold a defensive front, move quickly, and slip Avendano’s punches while going the distance.

Heavyweight David Nino Rodriguez will headline the fight card and will be taking another step toward the heavyweight championship of the world by facing veteran fighter Manuel Alberto Pucheta for the North American Boxing Association Heavyweight title. Rodriguez currently is undefeated with a record of 32 wins, 29 by weigh of knock-out.

NEWS FLASH:  Austin Trout wins WBA Continental America Jr. Middleweight Belt against Martin Avila on Saturday night by fifth round stoppage in Torreon, MexicoIn a12-round fight for the WBA Continental Americas jr. middlweight belt.
