Gusmao debut at UFC 87

Andre Gusmao almost signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, now it appears capoeira and jiu-jitsu fighter Andre Gusmao will  make his debut for the August UFC 87 promotion in August at UFC 87, confirmed by MMA Weekly.

Gusmao who is undefeated in his professional career was prematurely speculated to fight David Heath at UFC 81 in February, but  then it was discovered that he was still obligated to the IFL (International Fight League).

During his time with the IFL, Gusmao was an alternate for Renzo Gracie's Pitbulls during his time with the International Fight League, getting four wins in the promotion.

Gusmao who was supposedly signed and going to fight Heath when his prior contractual obligations were revealed, however now it appears that he has fulfilled his time with the IFL and can now work with tthe UFC.

No opponent have been named for Gusmao at this time in his debut. But additional fights fare expected for the Minnesota card.
