Martin Kampmann will be fighting mike “Quick” Swick at UFC 103 for a title shot against George “Rush” St. Pierre. Kampmann is 15-2 in his MMA career (6-1 in the UFC) and Swick is 14-2 in his MMA career and (9-1 in the UFC) so he no doubt deserves a title shot if he wins. As of right now we don’t know when the winner of the UFC 103 fight will have a chance against GSP because as of Saturday July 11th he reportedly pulled his groin in the third round of the fight against Thiago Alves. The fight between Kampmann and Swick will no doubt be a great fight because both fighters have great records in their division. Kampmann is 2-0 at 170 but does have a loss to Nate Marquart as a middleweight fighter before he made the move to 170. Mike Swick at the moment is coasting on a four fight win streak in the welterweight division and in June he earned a second round TKO over Ben Saunders at UFC 99 so he is as steam train running through people and the fight between Martin Kampmann and Mike “Quick” Swick will be a great fight that I can’t wait to see.
