Emelianenko Fedor and his team management M-1 decided against revealing specific details about the most important concern, his contract negotiations with the UFC. The little that was said at the conference was enough to know that the UFC and M-1 were ‘far apart’ and nowhere near a sealed deal. M-1 Global are asserting that Fedor will only contract with the UFC in a co-promotion regardless of the fact that the UFC is offering a generous $30,000,000 five-fight deal along with concessions for M-1 and Sambo apparel. That sweet deal isn’t generous enough for the Russian-based M-1 Global promotion company that is pushing to surpass the UFC and expand their brand worldwide.
