Cro Cop is staying in the UFC

Cro Cop is staying in the UFC

It seems that Mirko Cro Cop is really going to be staying in the UFC even though a lot of people said and knew he had already signed a contract with Dream. In his last fight against Mustapha Al-Turk he inadvertently poked him in the eye and walked away with a controversial win. After that there was word that he had signed a contract with Dream to fight in Japan before he went into that fight at UFC 99.

Don’t “Rush” the “Pitbull” George St. Pierre vs. Thiago Alves

Don’t “Rush” the “Pitbull” George St. Pierre vs. Thiago Alves

Wow George “Rush” St. Pierre vs. Thiago “Pitbull” Alves is a huge match at UFC 100 and it’s one of the best fights on the card. George St. Pierre is great in all aspects of his game but many UFC fans are not counting Thiago Alves out and that’s due to the simple fact that he is destroying everyone that they put in his way. He smashed through Matt Hughes like I have never seen anyone do, yeah GSP beat Hughes but the way that Thiago Alves did it was him saying watch out GSP I’m coming to take what you love the most away and that in the UFC welterweight championship belt.

Strikeforce wants Tito Ortiz

It seems as though Strikeforce is getting their hands on everyone they can because now they are trying to close the deal with The Huntington Beach Bad Boy himself Tito Ortiz. I think that is a good move on their part because Tito is an ex UFC champion and he has a huge fan base. As of the contract nothing is signed at the moment but should hopefully be done soon because as of the month of June Tito is no longer under contract with the UFC but Tito is also still kind of getting over his back surgery but he says he feels good and he has no more pain. It has been about a year since we last saw Tito fight in the cage and he is coming of a few losses in the UFC so he says himself that he needs “one warm up fight” then he will be ready to take on the best and whoever they put in front of him. The great thing about Tito possibly fighting for Strikeforce is that one of his biggest enemies is there and that man is Frank Shamrock. That would be a fight filled with mayhem and have fight of the year all over it without a doubt because these guys do not like one another. So let’s get Tito Ortiz back in there as soon as possible.

Nick Diaz vs. Joe “diesel” Riggs

Nick Diaz vs. Joe “diesel” Riggs

Finally, what we have all been waiting for, the rematch between Nick Diaz and Joe Riggs because it has been a while since the last fight between these two fighters. The last fight was at UFC 57 in which Joe Riggs beat Nick Diaz by a decision. It was a good fight then just imagine how good it’s going to be now because let’s face it there is some bad blood when it comes to these two individuals.

Is Brock Lesnar Legit?

Is Brock Lesnar Legit?

Is Brock Lesnar legit? I’m not really sure that a lot of Mixed Martial Arts fans think so. I mean he had three fights in the UFC and lost his first fight to Frank Mir at UFC 81. Do you know how many guys make their debut in the UFC who lose and never fight in the UFC again, a lot I think but just because he is Brock Lesnar

MMA ROAST HISTORY

MMA ROAST HISTORY
My name is Steven Arredondo, creator of MMA Roast© / MMA Roasted, the 1st ever Mixed Martial Arts Stand Up Comedy Show. MMA Roast is the only comical show to have professional fighters appear on stage and then be subject to publicly bearing comedic insults, praise, outrageous true and untrue stories and heartwarming accomplishments by top comedians. The implications being that the fighter is able to take the jokes in good humor, and therefore show their good nature. It is considered a great honor to be MMA ROASTED, as the individual is surrounded by friends, fans, and well-wishers, who can receive some of the same treatment as well during the course of the show.

I came up with the idea of combining the callous sport of MMA with side-splitting comedy a few years ago during a time my friend David Martinez asked me if I could help him raise funds on behalf of his non- profit foundation. All proceeds would help rebuild La Habra Boxing Gym in La Habra, California. The tough boxing gym, many have referred to as genuine and closest to Rocky as ever, was badly burned in a fire. The building, which had been built from an old church, was in desperate need of repair. Taking into consideration that David is a Vietnam War Hero who gives hard-up youths the opportunity to train in his gym for free and using his own pension to pay for it, I agreed to help

A Look At The World of MMA in 2008

A Look At The World of MMA in 2008

Seven months into 2008 and the sport of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) has seen more than one big explosion! Fueled by the ascension of UFC into the current pantheon of major American sports, the entire field has expanded. The shuttering of Pride FC last year led many to believe that UFC had firmly established itself as the only real game in town, but the predictions of a monopoly were premature. As with its champions, UFC is going to have to fight to maintain its reputation as top dog.
