From decorated amateur standout, to undefeated professional prospect, Mark Tucker 11-0 (7) is evolving into a two fisted fighting monster taking the light heavyweight division by storm, and this Wednesday night, Tucker looks to keep his win streak intact while continuing his journey in making his mark in the world of boxing.
Since making his debut a little over a year and a half ago, the twenty-one year old Tucker has had nothing but success. With his speedy combos followed up by his heavy hands, Tucker has defeated all that has crossed his path, with six out of his eleven opponents never making it out of the opening round.
Mark has compiled wins over the likes of Terrence Wilson, Ross Thompson and in his last outing Tucker unanimously defeated the former world title challenger Rubin Williams.
His journey continues this Wednesday night at Shipley Arena in Westminster, Maryland, as Tucker squares off against tough veteran Jim Strohl for the vacant USBO Light Heavyweight strap.
In this exclusive interview, Tucker talks about his career, his upcoming fight as well as his future, enjoy.

Thanks for speaking with Team Convicted, give us a little background on Mark Tucker, what was your inspiration to become a fighter?
Mark Tucker
My Dad used to box when I was little, he asked me if I wanted to fight, I said yes ands went to the gym, and have been there since.

What do you feel are your best qualities as a fighter?
MT
My boxing abilities are real good, as well as my speed.
BH
As a young fighter in the sport in boxing, there are a lot of things you learn as you go, and I am not trying to point out your weaknesses, but being a young fighter, what do you feel that you need to work on?
MT
Getting too excited, not relaxing enough that is what I need to work on.
BH
You had the big win over Rubin Williams, who is a solid fighter. What was it like for you to beat a guy with so many accolades?
MT
It was great, I felt real good about, I proved to a lot of people that I was no joke.
BH
You have the fight coming up September 25th again Jim Strohl, the guy has been around, what does this fight mean to you?
MT
It means a lot to me, I am very excited, and I cannot wait to get into the ring.

How do you stay grounded being such a young fighter in the game?
MT
My Dad and my family.
BH
Is your Dad hard on you?
MT
My Dad stays on me pretty regular; he is my trainer and my manager.
BH
How does that relationship work, how do you keep business separate from personal?
MT
I don’t know how we do it but we do, we argue sometimes, but we get over it.

Besides fighting and training, what do you do fun?
MT
Hanging out with my friends, hunting fishing and such.

If you can send a message out to the fight world, what would it be?
MT
I really do not know what to say, lookout for my speed and ability.
