On November 29th Rodriguez will be fighting once again as he defends his belt. The opponent is still unknown. With a perfect professional record of 29-0 with 27 knockouts Rodriguez is currently sparring against heavyweight Randy Walker who is scheduled to fight the undefeated Riverside heavyweight Chris Arreola on November 28th on HBO.
Rodriguez’s most recent victory came in September 27th in Mexico City against Andy Sample. The fight ended in the first round at 1:13 with a body shot that fractured Sample’s rib.
Like many good Mexican fighters, Rodriguez focuses on the body to break down his opponents. In March in Cancun Mexico Rodriguez landed a similar body shot that left his opponent Josh Gutcher on the canvas for almost 10 minutes ending the fight at 1:12 in the first round.
Bob Spagnola, Rodriguez long time manager believes that Rodriguez has a huge opportunity ahead. Spagnola has scheduled a few of his fights in Mexico. A newly formed relationship with Nacho Huzian of Tijuana & Spagnola will help promote Rodriguez’s career.
