Fightin’ Words Radio Show, long a staple of 1490 WWPR’s Wednesday night line-up, has decided to move from terrestrial radio, into the Blog Talk Radio family. Starting Saturday January 9th , Fightin’ Words will be heard exclusively at www.blogtalkradio.com/fightinwordsradio, from 6-7 PM EST. The permanent spot for the show has not been decided at this time, but will be after an agreement with the sponsorship.
Fightin’ Words is co-hosted by Convicted Artists Magazine Associate Editor Bob Carroll, Convicted Artist Magazine Editor In-Chief Benny Henderson Jr, and long time fight fan/historian Butch. It has aired on terrestrial radio since 2006, but recently it’s flagship station has had technical issues, which left sponors of the show unhappy. The Fightin’ Words crew checked out different avenues, and decided that Blog Talk Radio would be the best way to continue it’s high broadcast standards. Fightin’ Words follows another show it works very closely with, On the Grind, heard on Blog Talk Radio Sundays and Thursdays, 8-10pm EST.
Fightin’ Words wants to thank the staff and ownership of 1490 WWPR like Val Silver, Slappy and of course their long time producer Katie Green, for all of their hard work and friendship. The crew welcomes all comments and phonecalls during the show.
