Sketching a human face on paper is one thing, but tattooing it into skin is a whole different beast. A simple slip of the hand, or one shade too many can ruin the photo realistic quality of a human portrait. Ayala learned the tricks of that tedious trade after years of practice and can tattoo a portrait with eyes that appear to be watching you and properly shade the human facial curves so many tattoo artists fear.
Gabriel Ayala's amazing skill of art is an inspiration to many and so is his life story. Ayala was only 14 years old when he first starting tattooing with a sloppy homemade tattoo gun. Tattooing with a homemade tattoo gun is kind of like trying to draw with a pencil with a fractured tip but that didn't stop Ayala from learning how to shoot the straight, crisp lines he is known for.

Musink, an internationally known tattoo festival brings the biggest and most talented names in music and tattoos every year to Orange County. This was Musink's 3rd annual tattoo, art and music expo and as usual it continues to attract artists of all talents from around the world. The event is a huge mosaic of unconventional flair, fashion, and design. It's an event where creative minds present the world with new styles and forms of extreme art. This year's Musink event was hosted by Small Paul and the Original True Tattoo. It featured the Punk & Rock legend performances of The Headcat, The Cult, The Damned, Lemmy Killmeister of Motorhead, NoFx, and Face to Face. Professional skater Mike Vallely carved onto the stage to perform with his band Mike Vallely By The Sword. Vallely who is the bands vocalist, and performed with immense intensity went on to cover Black Flag’s "Six Pack".
To those who know very little and can prove it, which, as most of you know, that is just about all of you. Feel good about yourselves some people know so little that they don't even realize they know next to nothing. I realize I've left a little "wiggle" room so you can think I'm talking about everyone else, not you. It is a cold and rainy day here in SoCal, the type of day that produces reflection. I've had thousands, ok, possibly fewer ask me what have I've learned over the years, what can I pass along to those in the quest of greater knowledge, so here are the most important things I've learned.

We are pleased to feature another edition of art created by prolific artist Paul Bryan Jr. of Huntington Beach, California.
